The From Zero to Hero Course is the most complete learning experience, designed for those who want to become truly independent riders. This four-lesson course combines everything from the Discovery and Beginner Courses and takes you even further—teaching you not just how to ride, but how to control your speed, maintain balance, and ride upwind with confidence.
Each lesson lasts 2 hours for private sessions or 3 hours in a group, providing plenty of time to master the key skills step by step. You’ll start with essential theory, kite control, and body dragging, then progress through water starts and riding exercises. As the course advances, you will learn how to maintain speed by edging the board correctly, which is crucial for developing control and riding in both directions.
One of the biggest milestones in kiteboarding is learning to ride upwind, and this course is specifically structured to help you achieve that goal. By the end of the From Zero to Hero Course, most students reach a level where they can confidently manage the kite, control their board, and ride independently.
This course is perfect for those who are serious about the sport and want to make fast, steady progress. It’s a complete journey from the very first steps on the beach to becoming a self-sufficient rider capable of enjoying real sessions on your own. We strongly recommend planning a few extra days into your stay, as wind conditions can vary. Hours can be split between 3-4 days but it’s not always windy. If you want to complete your course and make the most of kitesurfing in Koh Phangan during one trip, we recommend planning around a week on the island, as wind conditions can vary from day to day.
